Danger Days: The True Lives Of the Fabulous Killjoys by My Chemical Romance had hit the nail right on the head. Being introduced to them in seventh grade brought me to a whole new world of music I didn’t even know existed.Whenever I put this album on and I hear the beginning of “Look Alive, Sunshine,” it instantaneously puts me into a place where my soul is happy. I became obsessed with this masterpiece to the point where I created my own killjoy character. The storyline is the main thing I hyper-fixated on. I fell in love with the message of always fighting for what you believe in and using your voice even when they try to shut your mouth— “Keep running!” is a line that...
