By Deepti Hajela | Associated PressNEW YORK — Friends, family members and civil rights leaders gathered at a Harlem church on Friday to mourn Jordan Neely, whose chokehold death on the New York City subway set off a debate about vigilantism, homelessness and public safety.A former Michael Jackson impersonator who had been struggling with mental illness and homelessness in recent years, Neely died May 1 when a fellow subway rider pinned him to the floor of a subway car in a chokehold that lasted several minutes.The fatal struggle was recorded on video by an onlooker who said Neely had been yelling at other passengers as he begged for money, but hadn’t attacked anyone.Last week the man who pinned and choked Neely, Daniel Penny, was charged with manslaughter by the Manhattan district attorney. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The suspect in a shots fired incident that occurred last month in the vicinity of San Francisco's 4/20 celebrations has been arrested, according to the San Francisco Police Department. The initial incident occurred at around 1:18 p.m. on April 20.Officers with the SFPD Park Station responded to Cole Street and Haight Street on a report of shots fired. Arriving on the scene, officers found multiple shell casings but did not locate a victim. Evidence related to the crime was collected and witnesses were interviewed, police said. NEW YORK (AP) — Wall Street turned lower after talks on raising the nation’s debt limit came to a sudden halt, raising worries that the country could edge closer to risking a highly damaging default on U.S. government debt. DENVER (KDVR) -- A liquor store owner is seeking help to catch thieves caught on surveillance video who broke into his store twice in two days.Craft-Y Beer Wine & Liquor, located at 24300 East Smoky Hill Road in Aurora, was broken into and robbed overnight on Wednesday and Thursday. The owner provided FOX31 with three surveillance videos showing two people forcing their way into the store and taking merchandise out.
